Congratulations Drs Darryl Chew and Andre Cheah

SSHS congratulates the two latest additions to the growing Singapore Hand Surgery community.

Drs Darryl Chew (Singapore General Hospital) and Andre Cheah (National University Hospital) have completed their advanced training in hand surgery. They were able to satisfy the examinations panel headed by Prof Lim Beng Hai and external examiner Dr Jorma Olavi Ryhanen from Finland during their exit exam on 28/8/2010.

They will join the select list of qualified hand specialists in this country, which can be found at the Singapore Medical Council website, and it is to their credit that they have made it here.

The Hand Society wishes them all the best in their careers and looks forward to their contributions to the society, the website and the entire discipline of hand surgery in Singapore and internationally.

The Singapore Society for Hand Surgery invites you to come and participate in discussing the assessment and surgical management of patients with upper limb paralysis from central nervous system disorders. This is an important topic of discussion, as the function and quality of life of many of these patients can certainly be improved by judicious and appropriate surgical procedures, a concept that is grossly under-appreciated in many countries including Singapore.

Dr Winston Chew and his experienced team of hand surgeons at the new Hand Service of Tan Tock Seng Hospital invite you to join in the APFSSH Post-Congress Wrist and Distal Radius Workshop. This workshop features an international faculty of skilled wrist surgeons from Singapore, UK, Hong Kong and Australia. There will be lectures, demonstrations and a hands-on cadaveric dissections and wrist arthroscopy session. Registration is SGD$1000.
